Default Roat Sub Zeros - Corrosion after 9 months??

EDIT: Rota not Roat (of course) - Can't spell - sorry!

Has anyone else got this coming through on their Rotas? (Bought through the Group Buy):

Only been on the car since Feb - will not come off with normal cleaning & I am not sure if using metal cleaner will damage the finish.

Not too happy to see this after such a short time - do like the look of the wheels though:

Thats normally caused by water getting under the laquer, probably due to small nicks/scratches.

Gonna happen to most polished rim cars and UK roads

I've got the same wheels, but gave them a good coat in Poorboys wheel sealer before I fitted them. Going to give them another coat at the weekend.
Have you been back to Rota and said to them, would be interested in the outcome.

Spoken to Julian at Rare Rims - really helpful guy. Will post more when I get the definitive answer on the problem.

I am really pleased with the service from Julian at Rare Rims. We talked over the problem he has accepted that the wheels have a fault & has replaced them with gunmetal GRAs. All done with good grace and at top speed. The wheels will go back to Rota for checking. I agreed to pay for the tyres to be swapped as I have had 10 months use out of the Subzeros - that seemed fair.

I actually prefer the GRAs so I am very pleased with the way the problem has been solved. I highly recommend Rare Rims if you are looking for wheels!

Remember also that the originals were at the discounted group buy price - there is a Santa after all!!!
