Goodyear F1 GSD or Toyo T1S Proxies are the choices most usually made.

Make sure you get the correct load rating i.e 91

How long's a bit of string, Lisa? Not being funny, but on a site with so many members, you'll get many different opinions.

If you do a few searches, you'll find Toyo T1R coming up frequently, as will Goodyear Eagle f1 GSD3.

You'll also get people who'll advocate Michelin pilots, even though they pay 30% more for them, and Bridgestones will have their fans too.

I went from Bridgestones to Goodyear, and am now on my second set of Toyos, which will soon be replaced by a third set of Toyos in the new year.

Are Toyos the best? I like them, and think so, but others will disagree. Read plenty of searches, and see why.

Oh and welcome.

Thumbs up

'Chen Shung Economy' - very grippy - don't last long though - but cheap! - MAJOR drawback is they have "ECONOMY" moulded into the tyre wall - So embarrasing - some were fitted to the wifes Fiesta many moons ago - never again!

Use Eagle F1s on Scoob...

cheers

Could not agree more and mine have done a track day with no noticeable loss in grip over my previous Toyos.

Used too I think you'll find. Not any more though.

The experience I had with Toyo's was poor(couple of years ago now), the words never again springs to mind!

Currently have pilot sport 2's on. Very good in my opinion

AFAIK it will be BF Goodrich (Michelin) for all surfaces in 2007 for the SWRT.

Why keep the pirelli for tarmac rallies when they have never been as good as the Michelins on dry tarmac ???

...no he want good tyres.

He has a fast car, and the only bit of it to touch the ground should get a generous budget thrown at it.

Toyo T1R's are good, but if you want the best, you have to pay for it. Personally I prefer Michelin Pilot Sport 2's, as said it's the only bit of the car that touches the ground.

I got 4x 225/40/18 for £500 fitted after haggling with my local Kwik Fit. 4 similar Toyo's will be about £400, so you pays your money and takes your chances!!

Smile which tires

Just priced up a set of Toyo Proxes T 1R, have been told these will replace the T 1S, and four will cost me £338.68 not bad at all. The only draw back is that these are mail order and i will have to get them fitted at my local garage

I got event mobile tyres to do my last set of fronts Event Mobile Tyres - Your Local Mobile Tyre Fitting Service - ~ £93 each for Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3s in July this year - they come to you & everything is included - very professional & all the changing & balancing kit in the van - I was impressed & best price I could find on those tyres at the time too...

Cheers

Mick
