Faulty sensor probably. I changed one of my rears the other day. Straight forward job. I got a second hand one from Grade A for £25, Subaru wanted just shy of £200!! yes no misprint £200.

I had a similar problem, where tyre fitters managed to break the end off of one of the front sensors during a tyre change, cost £60 from Central subaru in the end.it can be bodged with a paperclip tied to the side of the sensor for a emergency repair so that the abs continues to work if the end has been snapped off. But it is for emergency use.
