Default Brake Cylinder Support bracket / Brake Disc question

Afternoon all, noticed the above bracket listed on ebay a few times.

What does it actually do, and are they any good?

I take it you also need to do other things like renew disks, pads, fluids etc before any difference would be felt i.e. this is only really a support modification?

Or would fitting this bracket alone stiffen up the brakes a little? I find mine a bit crap really.

Im thinking of buying some new front discs soon as mine are rather rusty and brown looking, are Black Diamond any good or the Tarox 40 grooved one?

Ive seen loads of brake discs on ebay but they all look rather generic and are priced a lot cheaper than some ive seen - so i dont know whether to stay away from them or not?

Thanks

Adam

Under heavy braking the bulkhead to which the master cylinder is mounted can flex ever so slightly. The support bracket is supposed to overcome this and improve your pedal feel.
