best place for tyres in the North west at short notice? and would you go for 225/40/18 or 235/40/18 on a my53 STi?

Lee there is a tyre place by speke hall called 'tom tilly and daughters' and they seem very reasonable mate give them a call. dont know why he,s called that cos i never seen any girls there

ordered from Camskill at about 11.30 yesterday, got them this morning, fitted them and have already done 75mls in them . top service from Camskill.
it is certainly frightening when you see your old tyres coming off, you get to see the cuts and splits on them close up

What always makes me laugh is how worn the old ones are when compared to the new ones ffs! I mean, i check my tyres and pressures every week, and my rear had a puncture (yup i am very lucky) so i got 2 new rears the other week. Anyway, i keep looking at the fronts now thinking how crap they are! LOL. They are around 2mm i would guess. So they are on order now too
I remember the last time my fronts worn out, i get some serious tramlining and you have to fight the steering a lot. Then i had them changed last time and could not believe the difference new tyres made!
Well i aint done bad, i have had over 8 new tyres, and have only ever worn 4 out and had screws in the rest, so i am either lucky or hated, one or the other
