Default How much brake oil pressure

A quick question to you brake boffins!

How much brake oil pressure is generated when the pedal is pressed down at it's hardest?

Cheers

I think its quite a lot. Many years ago I had an XR4x4 with an electric brake pump instead of a servo and this generated 190 bar. You could almost work it out from pedal pressure, mechanical advantage of the pedal and the master cylinder piston area.

If you want frightening pressures modern common rail diesels run up to 1900 bar fuel pressure.
