Everyday and trackday tyres
Yes another what tyre thread! Bear with me on this one.
After next weekend (Bedford Autodrome) I'm going to need four new tyres. Now, I have and have been very happy with RE040 Bridgestones that serve well for both purposes, but they are a bit dear to **** to death on the track.
What I need is a view from those with the experience of something other than Toyo/ Goodyear. These I feel are fashionable and consequently popular, but I can't help but feel that there is more to it.
I'm thinking about Kumho, Yokohama etc.
What do you think? Stick with the Bridgestones, move up to RE070's and hang the expense or find a budget but still capable tyre?
Help purleese.

I found RE040s fell appart when I used them on track, bits falling off all over the place.
I also used RE070s - a top tyre and reasonably cheap to pick up second hand (if you can find some). Good grip (in the dry) and lasted a long time.
Otherwise, try the std trackday tyres from Toyo, Yokohama or Dunlop etc.

From past experience Yoko parada spec 2's are awsome in the dry although very iffy in the wet, I've used them on both my old Imprezas - Nice tread pattern too..

See other thread but I found Falken 452s broke away very predictably on the track, excellent when wet and only cost £60 a corner in 18s. They didn't wear too badly at all.
