Default What's Bridgestone done with the RE070?

I tried to get some more RE070s for my 06 STi a couple of days ago but apparently they've stopped making them. I've checked the Bridgestone website and they don't appear on there either.

RE070s seem to suit the car well, particularly for the front end because of the hard sidewalls and tread pattern on the outside edge.

As they've been OEM fitment for some time now, anyone know what's being fitted by Subaru now? Or where to get some new RE070s? Or a similar alternative?

As far as I know Litchfield Imports do the RE070's in the size used on imports, which is 235/45-17.

A Google search shows some stockists of the UK size (225/45-17) like:
225/45 R17 [90W] - Bridgestone Tyres - Potenza RE070 CZ - Automotive - BizRate UK - Compare prices & buy - Discount - Price

The Bridgestone site seems to be broken at the moment.

You can now also get the RE070 in 18" size for those who like the tyre but are on larger wheels.

Knew i'd seen this somewhere frayz the type ra-r has them fitted as standard, click here then click enter on web catalog, then click on equipment and scroll down the page and you will see 235/40R18 (RE070) don't know where you'll be able to get them from though

Frayz, as Granby has said, since the release of the RA-R. That has 18's fitted as standard and Bridgestone developed an 18" edition of the RE070 for it. I know Iain Litchfield was on about having some brought over as he likes the RE070. Best give him or Powerstation a ring and check whether they are going to bring some over or even if they have them in stock.
