I've known of an integra type r with DS3000's. They were maybe a little squeaky but I don't think any copper grease was used on the backing.
No problems with cold response, and fantastic on a track.
This was a while ago before DS2500's were available. If you don't do much track work, DS2500 are probably better for the road, especially as the 3000's are marked not for road use.

So are the DS2500....
The DS3000 are probably dangerous on the road, they really need to heat up before they brake you! DS3000 are die-hard rally race pads, just forget them for the road.
The DS2500 are much softer, nevertheless it's more of a coïncidence if they suit our scoobs well. They are intended for light rally cars (peugeot 106, citroen C2, etc) on which they perform very well. On our heavier scoobs they heat up quickly and perform well except when pushed very hard during long track sessions.

The DS3000's are really agressive in terms of wear rate aswell.
They litterally ate my stock discs on my old DC8.
My mate had some Performance Friction pads in his EVO 5, and they were awesome cold and hot, can handle the track no problem as well.
Hope that helps a bit.

The DS3000s will eat your discs in no time, and deposit the remains all over your wheels and bodywork. This was the pads originally supplied by Prodrive with their Alcon 330mm brake kit, shortly after the P1 was announced.
Absolutely fantastic on the track, with no fade at high temps, but when used for normal road, use, many owners ended up having to get new/refurbished wheels, and aggressive cleaning to get rid of the deposits on the wheels and bodywork.

DS2500 are fine/great on the road. If you track the car and want something with a bit bite/heat tolerance than this try Pagid Blue RS42. Got this on my 03STi and disc wear/dusting looks OK, only prob is rears squeak on slow stops despite copper greasing.
