No good for a bugeye, no where near enough braking ability (they were crap on the lighter classics)
I'd be searching ebay for some 4 pots.... quickly.

Seriously, I would get this car properly checked out. Why have those brakes been changed for knackered, discontinued versions? What else has been changed and swapped for bodged old bits? Sorry to be gloomy

the import bug-eyes still had the 2pot calipers fitted, no worry there............................
you have 277mm fronts, 2pot caliper with a sliding caliper 266mm rear.........................
the "subaru" 4pot brakes with 294mm disc are a direct fir t that car and will halp no ens with your braking ability

Very interesting! Yours is the only other WRX bug import I've seen. I have exactly the same car (without any spoiler).
I've had mine for about five years - brilliant car.
A couple of years ago I bought some second hand Brembo calipers, disks etc for the front and fitted them with braided hoses. I needed the upgrade as I do a few trackdays a year and the originals couldn't cope. For road use only, the originals were OK. I wouldn't bother with the subaru badged ones, go for the Brembos.
Now I'm finding that I need to upgrade the rears (fine on the road) to better balance the car on the track. Spoke to Alyn & he suggested I find some two pot Subaru badged calipers and ventilated disks for the rear - a straight swap apparently.
Let us know how you get on.
By the way these cars allegedly have 250bhp. I've never had mine on the rollers, but I somehow doubt it. Any idea what yours puts out?

Russ,
If I remember correctly, I saw them advertised on Scoobynet. Someone was upgrading. Don't be in a hurry to buy the first you see. They are like busses, sometimes nothing then loads for sale at the same time!
