Default Anyone know what these letters indicate ?

A mate has ordered a set of 4 Eagle F1 XL described as -

Goodyear EAGLE F1 GS-D3 215/45 R17 91Y XL BSW (Su)

Can anyone tell me what the BSW (Su) indicate after the Extra Load letters please ?

Cheers

black side wall
no idea on the 'su'

Shame he's already ordered them; they are almost certainly the Chinese version and I don't rate them compared with my previous German set.

Thanks for that.

I thought Su might be the factory of manufacture, but Su doesn't correspond to any of the listed factories - in which case they may be from anywhere.

I made him aware of the situation regarding German/Chinese/Thailand manufactured Eagle F1, and E marked tyres with the approval number, and he's been told they are German. We'll wait until they arrive.

My F1's are China manufactured (with E mark and approval number) and TBH I've not noticed any difference.

If you are happy then job done, but I've noticed a huge difference with the China tyres when 'making progress' round corners;

as you turn in the front tyre sidewall deforms and my immediate reaction is that the car is starting to understeer - it isn't but it feels like it is... then the back tyre deforms as it loads-up, and it feels like oversteer; no grip is lost, but to have the weight shifting about like that is erm non-ideal let us say.

I have around 38/35 psi f/r before you ask

This never happened with my previous German GSD3s, or even the P-zeros (they would just drift in the wet instead)
