Default brake upgrades

hi guys
96 sti2, i upgraded my 2 pots to 4's but am still not overly satisfied with the stopping power
can't really afford the 1k+ price for 6/10 pots
so this leaves me with looking at big disk kits, braided hoses etc,

just looking for some advice
cheers

I have just bought a set of Black Diamond grooved and cross drill 295mm discs and Black Diamond pads for my MY99. I have heard good things about this combination. I am fitting them at the weekend. I let you know how they go, after bedding in! Obviously I already have 4 pots, I currently have GreenStuff pads and standard disc and braking is errrrr not good.

Default Better Brakes

Get one of those master cyclinder stoppers. CDF Racing do them. Change your pads to Ferodo DS 2500 and replace original brake lines with Goodridge Items. Last but not least replace brake fluid with AP Racing 5.1.

I would leave disc till last unless there not in good shape.

Disc pads all done now, only took 45 mins! They look great and after a few hundred miles should be fantastic. Would agree with above regarding the upgrade of the brake lines, much better feel. Total cost of my upgrade £180 disc's and £50 pads. Bargain!!

Just about any pad change from Greenstuff on a Scooby would be an upgrade

Id not bother with changing discs for the sake of it, just stick in a set of very good pads and make sure the fluids fresh. Ferodo DS2500s will transform a car hot braking performance in comparison to Greenstuff.

Have a Godspeed kit available if you are interested, very good setup with the 4 pot calipers.
