Default using spare wheel for 4 days/advise please

Car is 2001 bug fitted with after market 18" wheel's and 225/40 tyres, thing is i need to get one front wheel refurbed due to kerb marks, but can i use the spare wheel for 4 days to keep the car on the road? no more than approx 100 miles would be covered all at local town speeds. The original wheels and tyres were 17" 215/45 so i'm not sure if the diff will be affected.

Mike...

I would tend to say that you'll be okay as long as you drive slowly. These tyres hold out well..................

............. I had an idiot pass me on the motorway once - in a Skyline GT with a space-saver on the rear, he was doing 100+ and the car was a bit twitchy!

So, you should be okay, just remember you'll have less grip/cornering/braking etc.
