Default Kumho tyre prices

ive found these tyres at mytyres for £46.50 delivered each:

Kumho ECSTA SPT 205/50ZR16 KU31 87W

anyone know if this is the best price i am likely to find? Im after 2 or 4, depending on the prices.

first time ive had to replace my tyres, so not sure how long to keep looking.

cheers

Comments from Kumho

ECSTA SPT tires are not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

Something to bear in mind in UK if you intend to use them all year.

Hi mate, Kumho tyres arent up to much...alrite on a 1200 hatchback but I wouldnt put them on a subaru. Just my opinion though, and I suppose it depends how you drive it. To be on the safe side I would go for a more expensive tyre. All depends on your budget though...I suppose in that price range they are a good tyre, but not in general.

cheers for the comments. Ive had them on for 18 months, and been fine, hence i thought i would pick some more up.

would i be better off spending more on something like TOYO T1R PROXES?

i really do not have a clue on tyres!

I would say you are better off spending more, but its totally up to yourself, and depends on the way you drive it. If the car is basically to get you from A to B, then Kumho's are fine. If you drive it hard however, a higher end tyre e.g Goodyear Eagle F1 will be alot more predictable in the wet and therefore safer. If you've had one set of tyres on for 18 months then it sounds like you drive pretty sensibly or dont use the car much so maybe kumho's etc would be fine. Although saying that, you could just spend a bit more on say goodyears/michelins if they last you that long. Totally up to you at the end of the day
