Front Disks and pads
Hi All
Wondered if any one could help, I,ve just been quoted £760 plus VAT to have the front disks and pads replaced on my 2003 STI. This price does not include any labour is just for the parts. I was horrified when i heard how much they wanted are they really this expensive or are subaru shafting me.
Any help would be great
Thanks

That does seem quite a lot for standard parts , I can supply you grooved discs with much better pads from £275 , and even with Ferodo DS2500 pads and grooved discs would be £350 , P&P is £10 and all in stock , give me a call on 01656 723060 or drop me an email if you want further advise
Cheers Ian

For that money (£760) you could buy PF 2 piece discs and pads. OE Brembo parts are expensive and better parts can be had for less money as Ian has shown above. Lesson is to avoid main dealers permanently.

That is astonishing for standard parts - £760 plus vat and not including labour. Say labour is £40 an hour (being conservative here) and they charge for only an hour and a half you have £760 + £60 =£820 plus the vat, so a grand total of £963.50..... I hope nobody pays these astronomical fees. You can get a set of standard disks and pads for front Brembos from the online Brakeparts companies for around £200.

Dunx,
Have you gone for the Z rated pads. These have similar bite/friction level to DS2500 except that they continue to work when on fire. If you'd like a more bite (for track) then get the PF 01 pads. A mate has these on an 06STi and it stops as good as anything I have come across.
