Default New/upgrading MY95 WRX brakes....Advice?

Hi all. I have been told that my brake discs and pads will need changing soon. I was wanting more effective and responsive brakes without having to spend silly money on upgrading them.

Have looked around and seem that alot of them state they are for MY96 onwards or give brake sizes. What size brake discs fit on a MY95 WRX with 17' alloys?? Also, what brake disc/pad combinations for both front and back do you suggest i upgrade to? Could you provide any links/contact details and prices from where i can get these from aswell?

Thanks

Sami

The normal cheaper upgrade for pre '99 cars is to swap the normal 2 pots for 4 pots.

Probably get some for £200ish all in? Not sure on prices. They are much better.

If then you are still not satisfied with the OEM 4 pot set-up, you can get upgraded discs/pads, braided lines etc.

I have the standard brake set-up on my MY00, and although running a bit more power (273) I find them fine - however, I don't rag it everywhere or do track-days.

Just looked on Jap Performance quickly and they do them with discs&pads for £350:

Bit more than I thought, but I would think you could get them a lot cheaper from someone on here?
