New alloys & balancing weights
guys
May be a stupid question, dont shoot me down....
Its the first time I'm ever getting after market alloys and was wondering do they need weights when balancing? or should they be almost perfect?
Also what type of weights are best?
1) self adhesive
2) clip on type
thanks in advance

Yes they will still need balancing.
Dont forget, even if the wheel could be made weight perfect, the tyres certainly wont be.
Stick on weights for any alloys. If they go near them with hammer on weights, FFS run away! LOL.
I have the OEM alloys on my 03 WRX and they used to just get abused with hammer on weights. Now i only make sure i get stick on jobbies.
Of course they look better, and so they should! You spend enough on your wheels without some numpty hammering weights on.
