Default who has fitted 17x8 to a 1994 classic wrx sti

I have a 1994 classic wrx sti - it has Speedline rims and 185/65/15 m and s tyres on it at present ! they need to go !

I have got the bits to make it a sti 7 brembo front brake setup and have the chance to spec wheels to fit

I want to run as wide rubber as possible (225/235/245) and need to choose rim width to suit this - I would love 17x 8 but I cant find many that have done it and those that have, have posted limited info

so if you have done 17x 8 on a 1994 classic please post up some pics and also what was needed to fit wider rubber, I am riding on cusco coilovers so I have a lot of leeway in terms of ride height and camber

my preffered tyre is a 225/45/17 or a 245/40/17 in semi slick (tarmac rally type tyre) Dunlop Direzza / Bridgestone re55s

any help / pics / advice / info would help

thanks

Hi mate

I'm after the same thing....my post above!

From what I gather so far, you can get the 8x17's on but it all depends on the offset.

I have run 8x17 with a 45 offset with 235x40x17 tyres on my RA. The rear arches are rolled though.
I am having some issues at the minute with my new coilovers but they were fine last year with eibach coilovers and a fair bit of positive camber

Thanks for the info

is there a difference in the "arch" space from a 1994 to a 2000 model ?
