Default Rota Wheels

Hi all,

What's the down side of these versus posh ones from Speedline or OZ or Prodrive?

none that I can see!

I've got 18" Rota GRAs on my forester and there pretty tough, as one took a direct hit on the rim from a brick at 70mph and some of them are fairly light. Mine are about 8kgs each.

i've just had mine resprayed as the original laquer had started to peel.

Nowt ! Rotas are great wheels, only problem is some style snobs don't approve. I run Speedlines, Rotas and I have had Prodrive wheels too, makes no odds to me if they look good.

My only complaint about rotas is the narrow stud shaft which makes it very hard not to scuff the wheel on tightening or loosening wheel nuts. I have got round this with some internal drive tuner nuts.

I got myself the narrowest socket I could find and use this instead of an all in one wrench. They are great wheels, but i don't know why they can't leave more room to tighten your nuts!

Internal drive not socket driven but by a key. Traditional socket round the nut is the space issue.
