Uniroyal Rainsport 2. Exceptional reviews, and I drove my mates STi on them last week and they were very, very good.

Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta. A few on here got them and rate them well. Did well in Evo and Auto Express tests.

Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric. Very well respected.

Bridgestone RE070. Awesome dry grip, but not for everyone due to harsh ride, tramlining and poor wet grip.

Grid reviews - tyre reviews, ratings and road tests for all car, bike and trackday performance tyres

Car Tyres - MPV Tyres - People Carrier Tyres :: R17" - 225/45/17, 225/45 R 17 ::

I've just changed my Bridgestone Re070's for Goodyear Eagle F1's and am really pleased with them. As corradoboy said, the dry grip of the Bridgestones was 1st class, but to live with everyday, I found them aweful, lots of tramlining (even with geo done) and really hard ride. The Goodyear's seem to offer the best of both worlds.

Yeah agree with this although I've only got 3 as some t**t replaced one with something I'm sure came off of their Caravan (being replaced tomorrow though).

Seeing as the UK is pretty much always wet, F1's are a great choice. Shop around, definitely get them fitted for under a £100 / corner.
