I had Kumho Ecasta Sports on my Bug, cheap with reasonable grip but went off very quickly, loads of tread left but no grip and very noisy on the road.

I had a set of KU15's on my STi for a while. Not bad but felt a little unblanced on the coilovers. Swapped by chance for a set of Yokohama Parada Spec 2's.

Also had a set of KU24 Ecsta on my sport for a little while. They were ok for a while and all of a sudden a massive loss in grip and soft walls.

Judging by the size of your rubber, you drive a performance car...(BMW 5 series judging by the size.) Why ruin it with cheap tyres? They're cheap for a reason and fine on a runaround, but not on a car that will be driven hard.

Have to agree with you mate. I put a set on a Golf VR6 I used to have ( not even a high power car !! ) and they weren't great at all. They were 205/40/17 and were very noisy. Wet weather grip was okay, but dry grip was very average. On the plus side they were cheap and got the car through the MOT.
