Tyres for '05 WRX Wheels
Hi Guys, not been on for a while but always come here for a bit of advise, which is what i'm after now?
Looking to put Vredstein Sessanta 225/45 17's on my standard WRX rims instead of the current 215/45 17 Eagle F1's that i'm currently running.
Can anyone foresee any problems with doing this or will i be okay.
All advise gratefully received.

You'll be ok in terms of clearance but your speedo will be further out. Probably not by much though.
I recently upgraded my 05 wrx's tyres to 225/40/18, which I think is closer to the original proportions and so has less impact on things like that.
The sidewall width is measured in percentage of the tyre width, not mm...ie '40' is 40%, not 40mm. But '225' means 225mm. So if you get wider tyres you should reduce the sidewall width to keep the proportions...
Hope that helps! And I hope someone isn't going to come on here and tell me I've got it all wrong...
