Default Which discs and pads ??

Hi All,
It`s time to change the brake pads on my `05 WRX and i`m not sure what to go for. I’ve always used EBC pads on previous cars in the past. Can anyone recommend a disc and pad combo??

EBC Redstuffs get mixed reviews on the scoob, IMHO they work ok until pushed really hard, they are abrasive on the disc surface and leave a lot of brake dust on wheels.

DS2500's work very well but can squeal a bit and can leave deposits on disc surface if not used to their potential.

Pagids are very good.

If budget is an issue then Black diamond FT pads can be had quite cheaply and work very well but they have a lot of pad dust.

This is just my experience on a classic scoob

I have DBA Wiperslot 4000 discs with Ferodo DS2500 pads. No fade, no squeal. I tried the Redstuff ceramics and didn't rate them, very hard on the discs. Ferodos work from cold too.

To help make a better recommendation - what do you have on there at the moment and how do you find them? What type of driving do you do?

I`ve still got the stock setup on there at the moment, which works OK, but does fade a bit after some abuse - it would be nice to have something with a bit more bite!!
