I have good offer to buy wheels 17" nad 18". Change anybody from 17 to 18? Which improvement? Will be better for normal road? Friends told me that 17" is better for all conditions. 18" will be better only for track use? (and I have source of used slicks only for 16 or 18 inches).
I think that impreza is not only for track - must be good for all roads.

hrubago,
Just changed my wheels to 18" and was pleasantly suprised at how the ride has not suffered, in fact I think that it has got a bit better. I think that tyre choice makes a big difference here as well as the model year. I have an MY01 and therefore when changing to 18" wheels I could still get away with a 40 section tyre whereas if you had a pre bugeye you would have to drop to 35 to maintain the correct rolling radius. With 35 section wheels you probably would notice it being a bit more crashy over bumps and potholes.
Hope this helps a bit

Thanks. I have MY00. The 18 wheels are 215/35. Roads in Czech rep. are "little bit" bad. Good answer for me is like: I changed from 17 to 18. I have more precise steering feedback now, better cornering ability and no difference in comfort against 17". Can anybody say it? :-)
