Ian,

do you do any upgrades for the rear brakes of impreza type rs or 22bs?

currently they have a drum brake in the centre for handbrake use, with an outer disc operated by a two pot caliper on the type r.

The type r uses different hubs so supports these instead of the sliding caliper of other imprezas.

Can you make up a kit, which replaces the drum with a disc and bell, and has a hand brake operated caliper which acts on the same disc as the main brake?

I ask cos I want to get more impressive looking 2 pot calipers such as brembo or AP and also cos the standard drums rust, and therefore look cack, whereas a nice alloy bell would be cool!

Adam, I'm after the same for my UK00. I've mailed Ian (Godney) but no reply so far. I would have thought this would be quite a popular Scoob upgrade, as the standard rusty bells and 'orrible sliding caliper just look so naff under a smart set of wheels.

Ian, are you there?

Regards,

Richard.

Question

"has a hand brake operated caliper"

Is there any such thing as a high performance aluminum 2 or 4 pot caliper that has a cable actuator for a hand brake? I've been looking and haven't found anything from Alcon, AP, Brembo or Wilwood.
