Fitment of front d2 8 pot brake kits to a classic imp turbo, can you still use 17s?

Just wonderin if anyone would know, fitment of front d2 8 pot brake kits to a classic impreza turbo, can you still use 17inch allloys or need to go to 18inch?

If theyr'e using 350mm discs then more than likely you will need 18" wheels... if thyre' using 330mm discs then you might be able to get away with 17".

However this is just in terms of the diameter, wether or not they will clear your spokes is a wheel design/offset question.
