Default Help please... GC8 with 18*8 +37 or +45 wheels with 215*35*18?

Hi all,

Right, I’ve done a search and come up with a number of answers so I’m after a little clarity if anyone can help.

The car is a V4 STi Type R with KW V3 coilovers, Noltec front top mounts and Noltec adjustable rear arms. AP 6 pots with PF 330mm discs, standard arches/bodywork. The wheels are currently Inovit Redlines in 18*7.5 with 215/35/18 Yoko Parada Spec II’s and have not had any rubbing issues.

I am looking to import a set of JDM wheels that are not available over here so the option to try a couple of sizes to see if they fit is not possible.

I know the safe option is to order 18*7.5, 5*100, +48 that will fit without issue with the same 215/35/18 tyres.

However, I think the wheel would look better still with a slightly deeper alloy and smaller offset. I can get them in 18*8 with either +45 or +37. Would these be okay with the 215/35/18 tyres? Ideally, I would not be using spacers or roll the arches.

18*8.5 are also available with a +48 offset but I think the 215*35 tyre would be too stretched.

Any opinions/suggestions appreciated.

Many thanks
rossi

Anybody..?

Narrowed down to 18*8, +45.

Would a 215 tyre fit width ways?

Am I likely to get rubbing issues with 215*35*18?
