Godspeed 335 Upgrade

Godspeed 335 Upgrade
Just about (99.9% sorted) a Godspeed 335 upgrade kit for my car. The calipers are coming with the spacers fitted so it is just a case of old calipers and discs off/new calipers and discs on, brake fluid then go. One thing I have been warned about is re-tapping a few holes on each strut to accommodate the new bolts. Can anyone expand on this, and perhaps any other pitfalls I could experience on the way?
Also, how much are my old 4 pots worth when I have removed them?
This Godspeed setup is meant to be a good upgrade on the original, cant wait to put my foot down! It will be strange to be chasing faster deceleration, as opposed to faster acceleration.

you have to run an M14 tap through the 2 holes in the hub where the calipers are bolted on , the hole isn't made any larger and you can go back to standard at a later date , if you email me direct to ian@godspeedbrakes.co.uk and i'll email you fitting instructions

The caliper spacer seemed to make it a bit lop sided as there was a bigger gap one side than the other so couldnt get the pads in on one side. The clips were hitting the wheel and had to be 'modified'.
Not having a go Ian, still only took about 2 hours, would probably have been a ******* fitting standard ones back on!

On the 335mm kit I make , you have to bring the caliper out on a bracket to fit the larger discs , as only the calipers are threaded , the bracket has to fit onto the unthreaded hole in the hub assembly , now the easiest way to fit the bracket on would be a nut and bolt , or thread the bracket , but as the disc sits so close to the hub and bracket , there isn't room to fit a nut and bolt in , it will hit the disc , so the only way to fit them on is to tap the 2 holes in the hub to put a thread into them , then the bolts supplied in the kit , will fit through our brackets and thread into the hub.
The holes in the hub as standard are 12mm , which is the right size to run an 14mm tap though to put a thread into them , as your not actually drilling out the hole larger , the hole stays 12mm , albeit now with a thread in it. , as it stays 12mm you can refit the standard brakes at a later date should you wish.
This in the only kit anywhere that you have to tap out the hub assembly , simply because of the design of the Subaru 4 pot calipers , all the other kits we make using AP or brembo calipers , does not require this doing.
Hope this clears this up for you
Cheers Ian
