Default Why dont they fit??

Ive just done a swap of 17" standard STI 04 blobeye alloys for a set of 18" a-tech alloys, with a chap on scoobynet. He advised me that they fitted over his brembo`s on his newage spec-c and wanted my alloys to do the same. My 17`s fit fine, so we did the swap but his 18`s dont fit over the calipers. Are there different types of brembo 4 pots or are the bells on the discs different depths on spec-c. Ive put on some 3mm spacers and they still rub on the calipers. Now ive got to think of something else and im not sure what..... any advise please, cheers.

All the brembo's are the same , so if they don't fit yours , they didn't fit his !

Hi Ian. Thats what i thought, but he says he removed them and there were no spacers. I just wondered if the bells on his might of been deeper, say 42mm as apose to mine that are 35mm deep.?

My pads and discs are nearing the end of thier life, so this case is the other way round

What ET are they, Chris @CDF would be able to machine some tidy spacers. If he has lied the least he can do is apologise and tell you what spacer size he used, worm !

worm is not the word that springs to my mind. I will fix the problem cause I like the look of the wheels, and I hope he comes back and offers some help and explain his actions..

Have spoken to Ultralite. Turns out these were for classic and not newage. Ive had to get new nuts, longers studs and 5mm spacers to make these clear my brembo`s. Turbo-it (Rob) never came back to me, surprise surprise.

I looked into the sizing and yours are probably 18x7.5 ET48 where as you really need their 18x8 ET48. I thought 5mm would do it but I hadn't realised it would involve studs !!!

Longer term I'd sell the wheels as they are nice given the correct application.

Would be worth a Mod PM mate
