Hi, I know this is a huge subject and may be subjective.
I am looking at replacing the wheels & tyres on my 2.5 Hawkeye STi.
Can anyone tell me or point me to a website that explains which are the best Alloy Manufacturers? Which ones to avoid?
I would like to try Pirelli PZero Tyres - does anyone have experience of them v the other popular tyres? Wet grip, dry grip, comfort.
Many thanks, Peter

I had Assimetricos (sp?) and wasn't particularly impressed.I changed to GSD3 F1s which were far better, particularly for wet grip.

I am only going by the Pirelli website - I guess PZero Nero or Rosso. I was always happy with Bridgestone (GYear gave a really hard ride) so I though a change is as good as a holiday....oh and I have had no hassles with the oem Dunlops this car came with.

Revolution motorstore for me! LOL.
Take your pick on wheels though, that really is a personal choice.
But i can recommend the Oz Alleggeritas. 18x8 and less than 8kg each!
Vredestein Sessantas are awesome tyres. So are Goodyear Asymmetrics.
There are loads of manufacturers but it always, always comes down to price. As an example, Advan are awesome wheels, but at around £450 and above each, they are expensive. Then you have Rota wheels, which are also very light, but sell very reasonably priced and are also very popular too. I bought the Oz Alleggeritas, they were not cheap but i liked em and that is that. For me they worked out at £410'ish each WITH Sessanta tyres. A lot cheaper than the Advan i had my eye on! LOL.
BBS are good, and the list goes on.
The lighter the wheel, the better the composite, the more expensive they will be. By this i mean if they are magnesium, etc, then you really will be light, but boy will you pay for them too!
I chose Oz. They have made many a wheel for Prodrive and Subaru and they had everything i wanted in a wheel for my needs.

The new Michelin Pilot Sport 3 is getting fantastic reviews, it seems to be a really strong tyre. I'd love to try them but they're only out in limited sizes at the moment
