I have them on my spec c and i am very impressed with them, they give great grip and no tramlining although they do tend to give a little more road noise than Toyo T1R's or Bridgestones, but i can live with that as my exhaust drowns that out anyway.

See if the pics had a manufacture date. Something like 4409 in raised letters on the tyre. This denotes 44th week of 2009. If they were old or old stock could explain it ? Have the same wheels been used for the replacement branded tyres ? Be good to know the pressures you run too.

Just weird how your car suffers from this and no one elses

Superb tyre! Love em more than i did the Asymmetrics from Goodyear. I get the best 40mph grip i have ever had!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOLOL
No they are a very good tyre and so are the Goodyears too.

How do you rate the sidewalls? Im using Toyo T1s and with my setup, which is aggressive, the key flex is the sidewall, which you can feel bending over. My firend has a similar view on his Evo, again with an aggressive setup.
And yes it is the tyres, so would appreciate views- I see they offer an XL sidewall?

I think they are T1r's- T1s is no longer made (or vice versa).
The Vredestein are on list 1a for the MSA, which is what I need. So are Re070's which is another option, but fancy some wet weather grip too

i find the sidewalls stiffer on the Vredesteins compared to the Asymmetrics i had on before, can notice any difference in grip though, haven't really pushed them to the limits yet though

I have just gone from 225 45 17 (32psi fr & 30psi rr) Dunlop Sport maxx tyres to 235 40 18 (34psi fr & 32psi rr) Ultrac tyres, without no change in geometry the car is now a lot more twitchy? I have been advised that a geometry set up will sort this out?
Outright grip on the Ultrac is GREAT, I think that the side walls/carcass feels softer than the Dunlops.
Great tyre

As in .... any high speed driving on an A road or motorway and the car can move greater than expected? on the brakes in particular the back end can feel like a pendulem?
I am gonna get the car set up done again to see if this helps, Richard Bulmer drove my car last Wednesday and commented on the twitchy feel, I mentioned the new wheels and tyres because it only started when these were fitted, he reckoned more camber & toe would sort it out
Does turn on a six pence though when needed

Are the new wheels the same offset / widths?
New tyres often feel a bit wafty as there's a lot of block movement compared to worn tyres, but that shouldn't translate into twitchy. I hope you get it sorted soon.

Bubbles
I've had my set of Ultrac Sessanta 225/45/17 rears and 215/40/17 fronts for less than a year; i've put less than 2000km on them and I noticed a huge bubble on the inside of left rear. Went back to the shop i got them; they said i must've had some huge pothole or something. I don't recall such a thing!
Should I try calling Vredestein or it's hopeless?
