Barum tyres?????
Anyone come across these? My old boy is looking for some new rubber for his Mondy. The size he is after is 235/40-18. He has found these Barum items which has a price he likes. Has anyone come across them? A bit of internet searching reveals they are owned by Contintal. He ain'tno street racer and he doesn't rip up the B roads. All he wants is a tyre which won't throw him off at the first corner, has good life and doesn't cost the earth.
Suggestions, opinions etc

they're better than most of the unknown budget tyres.
iirc federal are pirelli and stunner are michelin so maybe worth a look. hankook are pretty good for the money, as are toyos though, if he can stretch to something that may save his life
camskill mailorder then paying a local shop to fit them may be cost effective too.

I'm off to get a pair for the wife's Zafira today, based on excellent rating in Auto Express / ADAC / and ratings on t'internet.. They are priced the same as Contis here, but if you buy 2, the second is half price.
