As title says, I cant afford to spend much at the moment but the brakes on my wrx really need doing, whats folks opinions on these....

They wont kill me will they? lol
I bought from the same seller brakes for the rear of my golf, and the pads were mush - but the scoob advert has mintex.
Thanks for advice.

Whats wrong with non grooved discs and mintex pads? surley better than blueprint pads - and the car came as standard, with non grooved discs!
I had planned to putmy Z32 brakes on the car but being short of cash I sold the whole setup. :-/

Put some cheap pads on the back of one of our cars once, big mistake, flames coming out of pads first time I used them hard
I would speak to Ian at Godspeed brakes http://www.godspeedbrakes.co.uk/home.htm

personaly i wouldnt risk this even on the rears , those wont be "good" mintex pads they will be the budget variety , even on the rear of the car wich doesnt do much work. the standard fit items will be of better quality than this...
If there is one area of a car that you really cant skimp on its brakes and tires your life often depends on how well these bits work !
Dave.
ps +1 , Speak to ian at godspeed

hello mate one thing for sure, never scrimp on brakes.just put down the money until you have enough for a quality set.unless the brakes are bad enough to fail a mot in that case, just get what you can afford, plus there are very good brake specialist on this site godspeed brakes and bob5 to name but a few, theres always a good bargin to be had.
