Default changing rear disks.. help me

ive changed my front discs and pads on my scooby.
but im stuck removing the rear ones due to the handbrake is in the middle of the disk kind of like drum brakes would be like.

now i have took the handbrake off but it still not loose enough for me to get the disc off.

anyone know how to do this??

im guessing i need to adjust the handbrake really loose to get them off but how do i do that?

HI
Round the rear of the backplate there is a rubber grommet , remove this and inside is a castle nut , you need to get a bent screwdriver in there and turn it to loosen off the shoes , there is an arrow on the backplate showing which way to loosen them , the disc may also be rusted onto the hub , it they are , give them a tap with a mallet to break the seal , they will come off easy enough then.
Clean up the hub face so there is no rust on them , put some copper slip on there , and refit the disc , and retighten the castle nut on the handbrake until you feel some drag , then loosen it back slightly , then adjust the handbrake cable on the lever to take up any slack.
If you need to ask anything when your doing it , give me a ring on 01656 723060 and i'll run through it with you

Cheers Ian

Also there should be two M8 jacking holes in the face of the hub. Put two bolts in here and apply a bit of tension then tap the hub in a top to bottom direction to break out the rust.
