Default Replacement tyres for my 2006 WRX Wagon

I know that this has been asked many times.

Please can anyone advise me on which tyres to replace the worn Bridgestone RE050's 215/45 R17 currently on my 2006 WRX Wagon.

I've been checking the forum, tyre review sites and choices seem to be:-
CONTINENTAL SPORT CONTACT 3
Michelin Pilot Sport PS2
GOODYEAR EAGLE F1 ASYMMETRIC
TOYO PROXES
UNIROYAL RAINSPORT 2
Bridgestone Potenza RE050

I'm looking for a set which are good in both dry and wet conditions, progressive slip and average wear rates. A added bonus would be if they were better then RE050's in the snow, i.e. no grip!

The forums and reviews all seem to be for different size tyres and from what I've read the size, side wall and tyre loading make a massive difference. I'm looking for advice re 215/45 R17's.

Thanks

Martin

If you have the PS2's down, forget them and just go for the PS3's instead
Also add the Vredstein Sessanta Ultrac's.

Are there any problems with fitting 225/45/17's instead of 215's other than the speedo reading?
