Default Max tyre sidewall size on classic

Guys,

Got an RB5 on 17" Speedlines (currently running 215/40x17) and needing to get some winter tyres. A few of the options only come in at 205/50x17. Is it possible to run that tyre size without any issues?

Cheers.

On a the tyres you mention then your speedo will under-read by 5.5 %.

So they are not suitable, for a 50 sidewall on a 17" rim, to have an accurate speedo you will need to reduce the width of the tyre to about a 175 (even that is still under a bit)
