Default Bleeding Brakes problems!

I have a 1993 WRX Import and just changed the front callipers due to one seizing up. I bought a couple of callipers off a 2001 impreza that fit the car fine. Now though as we were bleeding them we cannot get the pedal to stiffen up. im not getting any air when bleeding but the pedal feels like there is air in the system. i dont know how long i should keep bleeding b/c there might be air trapped somewhere but i also didnt know if the callipers from a 2001 can even work on a 1993. any advice would be great! thanks

presume you have fitted the matching discs also??
are the bleed nipples pointing up?? if not then you have them on upside down and they will never bleed up
have you bled the rears also??

How are you bleeding them exactly?

The master cylinders on the newages are different to the pre 99 classics, i believe the capacity is different (Less), i fitted K-Sports all around and no matter how many times i bleed the brakes, they aren't as nice as i want them, but they work just as they should.

Thanks
Sam
