I'm in the same boat at the moment, not sure what to put on some 18" prodrive GT1's
Options:
Falken FK452
Pirelli P-Zero Rosso Assymetric
Goodyear F1 Assymetric
Thoughts?
I've had Toyo's before and fairly un-inspired by the wet grip.

Have the conti's on mine, best tyre I've tried and i've had 3 sets of goodyears, 1 set of toyo's (utter rubbish) and a set of Dunlop SP sport maxx over the years
The conti's have been the best followed by the dunlops, i wasn't impressed with the last set of goodyears

From: Slowly rebuilding the kit of bits into a car...
Why not ?
I'm looking at http://www.tyre-shopper.co.uk/ts/sea...de=2354517YK2W
dunx
P.S. Seriously they don't suit a Newage car with 300+ bhp

i use pirelli p zero nero,s. on my second set can,t fault them. good in wet and dry. i,ve allways found a quality tyre behaves better when your on the limit. tyre slip is more progressive which gives you better control.
some spend a small fortune on suspension mods then fit cheap tyres

I have 2 Goodyear eagle f1 gs-d3 on the rear this past year and have been happy. Got them for £115 at the time but they've been superseded by the asymmetrics. Prices have increased considerably this past yr.

Vredestein Sessantas - less than £100 per corner from Tyremen.co.uk and outperform Goodyears or Toyos hands down, plus more progress wear-wise.
Goodyear wear rates were shocking, and I found the wet grip of the GSD3's utter rubbish in comparison.
For the price, nothing gets close, end of.

From: Wherever I park my car, that's my home
I've currently got 452s but when it comes time to change I'm considering Khumo KU36 or Federal SR595 - both are road legal track tyres - depends on whether I go for 245/35s or 235/40s

I had new 18" rims fitted when I purchased my T25 from Iain,
He recomended Michelin Pilot sport 2s.
They have performed very well , and asked Iain when they needed replacing what complements the Chassis and car .
Again Michelin PS2 were fitted. Not cheap , but as been mentioned Expensive suspension , and cheap tyres why bother?
I did think of the new Contis , and when the time comes I will try something else.

I have P Zero Rosso's at the mo, which seem fine. but by the sounds of it, i will be trying Vredestein Sessantas next!!!
Vredestein Sessantas are currently £122 on blackcircles.com for 225/40/18 to fit my pff7's (thats fully fitted price too...)
P Zero Rosso are £123 each (same website).

If you shop around, you'll often find you can get em very cheap.
My local tyre place I've been using for years charged me £20 to fit 4 tyres, including valves and balancing.
Still works out cheaper to get them delivered and then fitted - worth a thought
Tyremen - 225/40 R18's
£105 each + £10 delivery for 4 tyres = £430 + fitting....
That's a very good price mate - was that for 225/40 R18's? If so, please do share where from??
