From V.GOOD to CRAP handbrake after discs and pads change. What went wrong ???
Hi. A few days ago I've changed rear discs and pads and since that handbrake becomes absolutely CRAP !
Before change, it was fantastic, VERY I mean VERY "strong". I didn't have to pull it much to lock the rear wheels even on dry. Now, it's useless, you have to pull it nearly all up to spin the car while turning. I don't think if handbrake turn is possible now :-(
What I've done wrong and how can I fix it ?
Thank You !

Cheers guys. I don't really doing it often. Just gave an example how bad it is at the moment. I did it few times since I bought the car (3years ago) and only in the wet or snow of the throttle. Just for fun really. I know that 4wd cars have some rules how to operate them in correct way :-) I'm not stupid and don't want to hurt my "Beauty" :-)
Very nice to hear that other people care about your car. That's what I LOVE in Impreza's World - We are one BIG family !

is this true? while i know this is a toned down version of a rally car, i assumed it wouldnt effect the diff, having said that the last time i did a handbrake turn was about 17yrs ago, but always good to know

My Impreza rally car had a DCCD with a separate controller , that locked the diff under braking , and opened it when using the handbrake , and was also adjustable for between 5% and 100% lock on the move , if you handbrake a non DCCD car , you will burn out the centre diff eventually
