Squizz,

No problem, I to did wonder what car Pete was refering to!

No - Dave is not a trader, he is just a mate who has collected lots of Rover bits over the years as he use to Race SD1's and still owns a TR8 that he is trying to sell.

The TR8 he owns was one of the two prototype Turbo one's built by British Leyland back in the late 70's

Cheers,

Rob

Question

Guys,

My old TR7V8 was converted by Grinnall Cars in Bewdley. Part of the conversion was to use the whole front uprights from an SD1 Vitesse.

This gave the braking and increased track improvement they thought necessary for V8 power. The rear-hubs were converted to match.

I wondered if anyone knew of SD1 pcd (point centre difference) wheels that could possible replace the 6x14 ones on at the moment, with 195/60x14 tyres.

My only other options seems to be the last model Vitesse 6.5x15 ones with 205/50x15 tyres. Brand new from Rimmer Bros. these are £435 for 4.

Anyone got any second hand???

Cheers,
Squizz.

Exclamation

Thanks Pete!

What on earth made you interested in my question?

I'll go armed with that to try and find some aftermarket rims.

Squizz,

I have just spoken to a mate of mine & if you are after some wheels, a quaife LSD rear diff or a rear disk break conversion kit & any other bits for your TR8 - Give Dave Redpath a call on
07831 - 618976

BTW the SD1 wheel is a 5 stud 5" PCD

Cheers,

Rob

Rob - That's excellent, cheers. I wondered what Pete meant by 4*, and whether he'd got the right 5 stud SD1 type rather than 4 stud TR7 originals.

What's the story with Dave then? Breaking a car or a trader in bits?

Regards,
Squizz.
