Sorry if I'm being thick but what does "test drive by a reaper" mean?
Is it some kind of ghostly figure?

But aren't they a bit 'old hat' now( I've used them in the past and they were great pads admittedly) and I believe they're getting harder to get hold of too :-(

Shouldn't the DS2500s be compared with Blue and DS3000 with Orange though?

Sorry to sort of hijack this thread, but would the abovementioned pads be ok with my current oem discs? They have plenty of life but my pads are due for a change and I want a bit more bite!

really?? maybe i should check our shipmeents more reguarly....................LOL

as for "old hat" they have been around a little while but that just shows how "right" they got it first time and i have yet to get any complaints about inconsistency in batches as seem to be the case with 'other' manufacturers pads.........

I've used Kevlars as supplied by Godspeed - great pads for road/fast road but don't resist fade on track, Red stuffs (terrible), Blue stuff (rears only) which were OK but faded badly - the only pads I've ever replaced like for like were the DS2500s they last well and don't fade at Brands (20min sessions) or the Ring (back to Back laps) admittedly the fronts on mine are AP 4 pots on 330mm rotors the rears are std WRX 2 pots (2002 bug)

Performance pads will work fine with OEM discs and it is an effective way of increasing bite.

Two things to look out for though are some pads can leave deposits on the disc which results in brake judder, and flat faced discs (as opposed to grooved or dimpled) are more likely to cause pad glazing.

Got to say i have ds2500 on now and dont like them at all i will be going back to mintex 1155 . Never had a problem with these and highly rate them , each to their own . Red stuff i found massive brake fade on a spirited run wouldnt go near them again.
