Default Discs fooked, again :(

Replaced discs and pads a few weeks ago as discs were warped to buggery. But, the new discs have done exactly the same.. I cleaned up all surfaces prior to fitting and am baffled.. Losing love for this car as it's developed a knock on the front o/s strut too.. fookedy ****.

You're going to say this is the reason why but they were used, well, only a few hundred miles in the pads and more in the discs, I needed them quickly so bought them from a local scooby enthusiast.. But honestly, they were straight as an arrow when they went on.. and stayed like that for 700 miles.. could it be an issue with a hub do you think?

+1 for sticky caliper - try going for a drive without using the brakes too much, then have a feel of the discs when you stop & see how warm they are.

Hi
It sound like a caliper problem as mentioned above , they don't need to be seized solid to cause problems , if they drag slightly , the pad is always pressed onto the disc , so will overheat and distort the disc , the is the biggest reason a disc will warp , and the Subaru calipers are prone to it
Hope this helps
Cheers Ian

Cheers Alyn, yes I think you guys are right you know, one piston needed some persuasion to get the new discs in so it seems likely this is the issue.. you taking bookings Alyn?
