Question How to test ABS

Hi there fellow fanatics!

Ive tried to find out how to test my cars ABS system for a while now, but can figure out how to do it.
Ive read a load of forum threads but none can give me a difinitive answer.
Some say this and some say that.

Can somebody please tell me how to engage test mode with the ABS system on my 94 Impreza?

Thanks
Kim

Ps: Sorry for my poor english.. im from Denmark.

Hi,
Not sure how to switch on the test mode. Take your car to a quiet road and when no cars around (especially behind) accelerate up to above 140 kph and make sure no cars behind then step hard on the brake pedal. You will feel some pulsating effect on the pedal and all your wheels didnt lock out, then your ABS works. Safer if you can do this on the track.
If ABS system develops a fault, ABS warning light would come on.
Hope this helps.

Hi Chan

Thanks for your reply, but thats not what im looking for.
There is a way of testing the ABS for faults, where the ABS light blinks a code, just as you see on the ECU light when its in test mode.
