I want to put a new set of R888's on the car for a track day, i won't be able to get them put on the car until a couple of days before the day.
Do 888's need wearing in, or are they good to go?
btw, they are the medium treadwear = 100

thanks for the replies. I have read somewhere that some gentle/normal use for a day, then remove the wheels/tyres for 48hrs before putting back on for the track. I bit of a farse, but due to the price of the tyres and the treadwear anything that gives them more longevity is worth a try.
They are the business on the track, even in wet, just not standing water, which gives a hold your breath moment.

A couple of spirited 15min or so drives to get some heat into them, with a decent time to cool down in between and they'll be scrubbed. Last a fair bit longer like that.

They on a classic? some fresh wheel bearing grease and getting some air ducts to the brakes isnt a bad call either, the grip of 888's puts some serious loads into everything chassis and the classic front wheel bearings can disintegrate fairly easily.
