Hankook Evo V12's from Camskill.

You wont beat them wet or dry and miles.

I wouldn't put Toyo T1S or T1R on New age, because those tyres have soft side wall and they're great on Classic, but not the best on the New age

I would suggest as above Hankook V12 or Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta, running Vredestein and very happy

I Recomended these to Skullfudge a couple of years ago, he was somewhat sceptical at the time. Now he's recommending them to other people. Says it all really

Had various tyres inc Toyo T1R, Vredestein Ultrac and Ultrac Sessanta, Bridgestone RE070s...
Now on Michelin Pilot Supersport and theyre miles better than any other 18" road tyre ive ever driven on.
If you have 17s id say RE070s, if you have 18s then the Supersports are unbeatable.

The Michelins are standard fitment on Porsche GT3, BMW M and Ferrari now.

nokians seem good so far. Very slightly less wall stiffness, perhaps, than the michelin pilot exaltos, but 2/3 price. And better in the wet.

There was a good article in Evo (last edition), may be worth a look too. P-Zero's and F1 came out very well.

Sorry to drag this up again. I'm after some 235/45/R17 tyres for my JDM Blob STi.

Sadly, Michelin Pilot Supersports are only available from 18" upwards so I'm veering towards their Pilot Sport 3s. But from reading the above, the name Hankook keeps cropping up. The Bridgestone RE070s aren't available as 235s.

Has anyone any experience of the Michelins, or should I go for the Evo V12s?

Thanks for the help, as always.

I have Michelin pilot sport 3 on my 02 sti prodrive. I paid 90 per corner I find them to be fantastic grip in the wet and dry but found they do wear quickly. I will deffo be looking at buying them again

Thanks for that. Are yours 225s? The cheapest I've found for 235s is £105 each (not fitted at that though).

Thank you. I've had a look but they can't touch Camskill's prices I'm afraid.
