Default Opinions needed guys

Hi all

One of my friends has asked for my opinion on these. My own opinion would be to go to Godspeed purely for the fact that Ian is a trusted member on here or go down the brembo route same as me.

However my mate shaun is a bit of a tight git n thinks this is his better option

Whats your views???

They don't look too bad but for the price of them but having to have 18" wheels fitted at a minimum is more expense, Add another £100 and you can get a 2nd hand set of brembo's with discs that will fit under both 17 & 18" wheels and will be a more capable set up IMO

As above they are priced reasonably and don't look to bad,but ians reputation for quality tested parts at Godspeed would be the route that I would advise a mate to look into getting.or yeah maybe a second hand brembo set up,but still with ians two piece disc and pads combo.

Worst thing with that kit is tho, they dont mention anything about changing the brake pads yet with Ians kit at only 330mm kit he has modified brake pads so thats a cause of concern for me. Still not for me tho ive got myself a set of front and rear brembos for mine

The ad seems ok.

I'd still go with Ian though.

It depends on whether your happy to fit a disc that has the stud holes elongated to make them fit the Subaru PCD , and to fit a metal ring to make the disc run true on the hub as the centre hole is too big.
To me it seems a botch job to make a disc off another car fit the Impreza.

If you fit standard sized pads on this setup , the pads will be hanging off the outer edge of the disc about 10mm , the caliper won't go on the disc properly for the pad to fit on the disc , this is why we use a larger pad that we modify slightly as the standard subaru shape pad won't fit on our discs and our are 335mm , with these 345mm discs it will be even worse.

Our kit is specifically designed to fit the Impreza with 2 piece discs and alloy bells , and included in our kit are the larger pads , which are available in various compounds , Bluestuff , orangestuff and DS2500's included , so for £550 your getting a lot more kit for your money .

Cheers Ian

Just to add that they are charging £168 for the larger DS2500 pads for this kit , so its not that much of a saving over our kit that has the correct fitting discs and bells

£50 extra for Ian's custom made 2 piece discs over the machined to fit single piece discs from Ebay (when pads etc taken into account). I know where my money would (and did) go.

I've seen those kits on eBay as well, I did not like the look of a disc clearly bodged from it's intended purpose.
Due to the endless praise he gets on here, I've just ordered one of Ian from Godspeeds 335mm kits & some new stainless steel pistons to go into my calipers I'm replacing my Padgid discs & pads that have seen better days! I can't wait till they arrive
