What are these ??
Just removed my pads from my porsche calipers and these fell out......
They have two strange looking bits that sit inside the ceramic piston. I cant see them in these pics......

Any ideas, guessing i need to keep them for my next pads ?

Pad wise, powerstation said they can supply me with Pagid black for £299 plus vat.
I've spoken to AS performance who can do a set of brembo pads at a good price and also Aztec who can supply EBC at good prices. I tried Godspeed via here and email and got no reply whatsoever so won't be using them.
I'm just waiting to here back from a pal who races an M3, he reckons he can source a set at a decent price so will let you know.
I also found out that any pad I choose will need machining to fit the caliper.

I've not bought any pads yet but am tempted by the Brembo's if my pal doesn't come good.

Blue stuff IMO I wouldn't want for good braking, they have initial bite but that's about it, not good for driving hard IMO.

IMO, I don't like them, ok for normal driving but not good when driving hard they tend to go off after a while and not preform good throughout, and that was on a drive going downhill on b roads, and no my fluid never boiled, pedal was still there just with no bite left until cooled down.

Have you taken them to their limits?

EBC Bluestuff NDX is a fast road pad. In this Porsche caliper setup (which is very good) they work well. Tried and tested on the same setup on our own car. Pads work differently in different caliper setups - the Porsche calipers are very good at managing heat and aren't comparable with the same pads in Subaru 4 Pot Calipers or Brembos.
EBC Orangestuff are also the same price, one stage up, improved bite and fade resistance but you lose a little on the cold performance.
We use the same custom pads on our own car so can ensure the correct fitment based on our own diagrams.

you've lost me there Bob's, surely if you have the Porshe kit on your Porshe there is no requirement for the "custom" pad required by the P/S type set-up......

Have you got a pad number for those blue stuff EBC please Mr Aztec ??
Reason I ask is a friend who races an M3 knows Bob at EBC. We called him today and he asked for a pad number of which I have no clue. He also said the pads don't need any machining but after reading your above post I realized I forgot to mention I had 2 piece discs.
