Default Pads For Standard WRX Blob?

I'm a little confused by all the threads on brake pads. I have a standard 2004 WRX, which I'm probably planning to remap at some point. I'm not really planning on using the car for track use and it is my daily driver.

What pads does anyone recommend. Standard Subaru, or Blue Print, or something else? I obviously don't need anything mega, but a slight upgrade from standard would be nice I guess? Or are there disadvantages e.g. more wear on discs?

thanks

Also wondered this. There are a lot of threads stating all these different set ups.

My situation is:

Standard wrx 17s. Normal road (no track).

What is a good upgrade that wont break the bank?

Are they pads, for 4? What about discs to go with? Are they straight replacements?

Apologies for the questions. Its all foreign to me; brake upgrades.
