Seized caliper WRX Blob?
Hi guys, horrible sound started on my front drivers side brake today. Mechanic had a quick glance at it and reckons the caliper is seized. He can get me a replacement off an older WRX (classic I think he said). Is this the best way? Any thing I can do to reuse my caliper?

As they say, they all do that.
Depends on your budget. If one has done it the other may not be far behind.
Get a refurbished pair on exchange, Places like brakes international or a couple of dealers on here will do them with upgrades.
